Tickets

1. Where can I buy tickets for Andanças?
Tickets are available online at www.andancas.net/site/en/ticket-store. A limited number of tickets may be available at the festival box office, depending on capacity. The box office is located at the Espaço Cultural do Campinho and opens at 8:00 PM on August 13. Please note: tickets purchased online must be exchanged for wristbands at the festival box office. You don’t need to print the ticket — showing it on your phone is enough.

2. Does the ticket give access to all activities?
If you buy a Full Pass, yes! It includes access to all workshops, concerts, dances, performances, and festival spaces. Some activities (like tours and guided walks) require prior registration at the info point, on the day before the activity.

3. Are daily tickets available?
Yes. You can choose between the Full Pass (for all four days) and daily tickets. Visit www.andancas.net/site/en/ticket-store for current prices and ticket types.

4. Is the festival free for children?
Children aged 12 and under have free entry, as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket.

5. Do residents of Reguengos de Monsaraz get a discount?

Accommodation & Facilities

6. Can I camp at the festival?
Yes! Camping is included in the ticket price and there is a designated shaded area with toilets and showers. You’ll need to bring your own camping gear (tent, sleeping bag, etc.).

7. Where is the camping area and how can I access it?
The camping area is located at the entrance to Campinho, via the São Marcos do Campo road, just 300m from the main festival grounds. To access it, show your valid digital ticket or wristband. You may enter the campsite one day before your ticket is valid, and must leave by 12:00 PM on the day after it expires.

8. Are there showers and toilets in the campsite?
Yes, there are free showers and toilets available in the camping area and near the main venues.

9. Can I park my campervan in the camping area?
Yes, there is a limited designated space for campervans. Other motor vehicles are not allowed inside the campsite.

10. Are there other accommodation options besides camping?

Food & Meals

11. Where can I eat during the festival?
There are two Andanças Cantinas run by local associations, offering omnivore and vegetarian meal options for lunch and dinner. Meals include soup, main dish, drink, bread, and dessert, with local products — all for €12.
You’ll also find local restaurants, snack bars, and food stands around the village and in the main festival area.

12. Can I bring my own food?
Yes. You can bring your own food and use the shady picnic areas. There’s also a designated camper’s kitchen at the entrance to the camping area, with water and counter space for preparing light meals.


Families & Children

13. Is the festival suitable for children?
Yes! Andanças has a full family-friendly programme with workshops, shows, and safe play areas. There’s a dedicated children’s zone with guided activities.

14. Are there baby-friendly facilities?
Yes. The Baby Space includes quiet areas for feeding, resting, or caring for infants.


Access & Mobility

15. How do I get to the festival?
You can reach Campinho by car, long-distance coach (10% discount with Rede Expressos), ride-sharing, or even by bike! Projects like Lisboa Possível and Cicloficina dos Anjos organize bike trips to the festival.

16. Where can I park my car?
There is a free car park signposted at the village entrance, on the road coming from Cumeada. Please note: traffic inside the village is restricted to residents and staff with a permit. If you want to drop off your gear at the campsite first, enter via São Marcos do Campo, unload, and then proceed to the main car park via the road from Cumeada.

17. Is there transport to swimming areas?
Yes! The Blue Transfer service offers free rides to Amieira River Beach and the Municipal Swimming Pools of Reguengos de Monsaraz, for all festival-goers with a wristband.

18. Is the festival accessible to people with reduced mobility?
Yes! We’re working toward being certified once again as an Accessible Festival, a national initiative that recognises inclusive practices in cultural events.

Programme

19. Do I need to sign up for the workshops?
Some activities, like tours or special visits, require prior registration at the info point the day before.
Most workshops and activities are free access, first come first served, and subject to space limits. Activities that require registration will be clearly marked in the printed programme.

20. How can I check the daily schedule?
The programme is available on the website, on social media, printed materials at the festival, and as a downloadable PDF at www.andancas.net/site/en/program/

Pets

21. Can I bring my pet to the festival?
Yes, pets are welcome at Andanças — but they must always be kept on a leash and under supervision.

22. Are there specific rules for animals on site?
Yes. For everyone’s comfort and safety:
– Pets are not allowed in dance areas;
– They must not be left unattended anywhere on site or at the campsite;
– Owners are responsible for the pet’s well-being and for cleaning up after them.

23. Are there dedicated pet areas?
No. There are no specific zones for animals, so please be especially mindful to ensure the comfort of all festival-goers — human and non-human.
