CANTINAS ANDANÇAS

The Andanças Canteen is back this year and with several new features.

This year we don’t have just one canteen, but two Andanças Canteens, run by two local organisations and located at their respective headquarters: the Sociedade Recreativa Campinhense and the Centro Social e Paroquial do Sagrado Coração de Jesus do Campinho.

In these canteens, festival participants can find omnivorous and vegetarian options for lunch and dinner and complete meals [soup, main course, drink, bread and dessert], with local products and at a fair price. Each meal will cost €12.

In line with the production and consumption principles of the Andanças Festival, with the idealised objectives of ‘zero waste’, seeking to contribute to more sustainable consumption and lifestyles, these canteens will promote
◊ the reduction of food waste through Dose Certa, raising awareness among people to serve themselves only the amount of food they will consume;
◊ the consumption of local products, encouraging national production, creativity and more sustainable, quality products and services;
◊ the Zero Kilometre, looking for local suppliers whenever possible, promoting the local economy, but also reducing the ‘ecological footprint’ and unnecessary food costs;
◊ the use of the mug, because at Andanças we don’t use disposable crockery – there are no disposable plastic cups, plates or cutlery. There are reusable mugs for each participant and the plates and cutlery are washed after meals;
◊ recycling as a habit that has already gained strength in everyone’s consciousness – at Andanças we selectively collect waste for recycling. Mini-bins for packaging are dotted around the venue; organic waste is separated for local composting.

BARS

The bars are located in the main enclosure, inside the village of Campinho.

Snacks, drinks and light meals, vegetarian and traditional meals, sandwiches, fruit and ice-cream. Everything has a place at Andanças!

There are a number of environmental rules at the festival that are a factor in the selection of these projects – for example, no disposable items or disposable items that can be composted.

In order to apply good practices during your commercial activity at the Andanças Festival, the taverns respect the measures of the Green Protocol drawn up in the context of the Green Ethics project.

RESTAURANTS AND SNACK BARS

The Alentejo is known for its gastronomy. Take advantage of Andanças to taste the flavours of Campinho.

In Campinho there are cafés, restaurants, snack bars, grocery shops and the bakery, where we ate the famous bolo da amassadura.

CAMPER’S KITCHEN AREA

In the festival’s camping area, at the entrance to Campinho, on the São Marcos do Campo road, it is forbidden to light fires, smoke or even leave gas cylinders inside the tents. However, at the entrance to this area, there will be an area with a counter and water point where it will be possible to cook small meals

It’s an economical solution for participants and even families who prefer to go to the grocery store and cook their own meals.
