Biografia:
About the companyOstomila Puppet Theater (est. 2016) blends puppetry and live music to explore identity, intercultural dialogue, and social themes through contemporary art. Rooted in Basque culture, it emphasizes artistic process over product, serving as a tool for community empowerment—particularly in underserved areas.
The company revives traditional glove puppetry while innovating with themes of Basque language (euskera), female empowerment, and mythology. Their portable, inclusive performances bring theater to unconventional spaces, making art accessible to all audiences.

Driven by identity as the core of our productions, Ostomila Puppet Theater has been professionally dedicated to puppetry for years, with hundreds of performances to our name.
As theater professionals, we have created and staged diverse shows, including:

- Nicaraguan folk tales such as “The Adventures of Rabbit and Coyote: Stories from Nicaragua”
- Painted Tales: Children's Stories by Rubén Darío
- Alaia Galtzagorria: Tales from Basque Mythology
- Our latest production, Baleazaleak, exploring Basque whalers and Mi’kmaq mythology
Our work is an ongoing exploration of identity through puppet and object theater, live music, and scenic storytelling.
