PARKING AND TRAFFIC AT THE ANDANÇAS 2023 FESTIVAL

It is very important for the participants, for the organization and for Campinhenses to ensure the comfort of all @ s regarding the parking of vehicles arriving at the festival, also ensuring that they are well located when it comes to access to festival services. So we provide all the information you should know when arriving at the festival.
For the proper functioning of the traffic in the village and for the non-disturbance of the residents of Campinho, during the days of Andanças, a traffic map of the festival was defined and three parking pockets were created, and vehicles are not allowed to park outside these areas.
The three parking pockets can be identified on the map below. 2 pockets with access through Rua das Couves, for participants arriving at Campinho via the São Marcos do Campo road (CM1129). 1 pocket with direct access for those arriving via the Cumeada road (CM1130).
The parking lots on Rua da Couves are located 500m from the campsite and 250m on foot from the festival ticket office. The parking lot on CM1130 is 400m from the ticket office and 470m from the canteen, artist reception and instrument storage.
Upon arrival at the festival, it is also possible to park, for a limited time, in an area reserved for loading and unloading, located in the Caravan Park (next to the campsite). Participants can leave their belongings at the campsite and should then go to the parking pockets indicated on the festival map (see map).

FOUR-LEGGED WALKERS AT ANDANÇAS 2023

Many people ask us if they can bring their four-legged “walkers” to Andanças 2023. Since we cannot guarantee the construction and maintenance of the Dog Space, dogs must always be on a leash and accompanied by their owners and guardians. They should not be left alone and, although they may be on a leash in the program spaces, they should not remain in the dance areas or stages.

If you have ways to leave them safe and well cared for, taking them to the festival this year may not be the best option!

BY CAR, HITCHHIKING, BICYCLE OR TRANSPORT. HOW TO GET TO ANDANÇAS NO CAMPINHO IN A SUSTAINABLE WAY?

At Andanças, the mobility of participants has a huge environmental impact. We encourage you to prepare your trip in advance and consider the different transport options, favoring the less polluting ones.
To get to the Festival Andanças by bus, participants should travel to Reguengos de Monsaraz through Rede Expressos. To get from Reguengos de Monsaraz to Campinho, there are daily buses from Rodoviária do Alentejo and some transfers available from the City Hall of Reguengos de Monsaraz, whose schedules can be found here.
If you want to come to Andanças by bike, sign up for the 5th edition of Pedalanças. This year Cicloficina dos Anjos will join Andanças again for sustainable mobility, taking several participants on bicycles from Lisbon to Campinho, on the 23rd, 24th and 25th of July. About how to participate here.
If you have no other alternative but to come to Andanças by car, then being sustainable is sharing this trip with as many people as possible. Ask for or offer a ride!! Find out how to do it here.
Here are the coordinates to Campinho to put in your GPS when you leave home and we hope to see you there!

FROM LISBON TO CAMPINHO BY BIKE! THIS YEAR, CICLOFICINA DOS ANJOS JOINS ANDANÇAS AGAIN FOR THE 5TH EDITION OF PEDALANÇAS

This year Cicloficina dos Anjos once again joins the Association PédeXumbo for sustainable mobility, to hold the 5th edition of Pedalanças.

Pedalanças is a bicycle journey to the Festival Andanças, promoted by Cicloficina dos Anjos in partnership with the Association PédeXumbo, which gives logistical support to those who want to travel to the festival in a sustainable and fun way. It is open to everyone, with prior registration, and ideal for those who want to experience bicycle travel for the first time, with smooth daily stages.

As usual, Cicloficina dos Anjos (CdA) will support those who are cycling between Lisbon and the Andanças Festival, which will take place this year in Campinho (Reguengos de Monsaraz).

It is foreseen that the trip will take place on the 23rd, 24th and 25th of July, so CdA will try to provide sleeping and social places to the “pedalantes”, and will ask “in due time” to those interested to sign up for this support.

At Pedalanças, bonds and a spirit of mutual help will be created around the bicycle, between the more experienced participants and those who explore for the first time this way of traveling. During 3 days of cycling, CdA will only provide mechanical support, advice on routes and places to rest and sleep for those who come by bike to the festival Andanças – the responsibility for any damage that may occur during the journey, lies entirely with each traveler!

Anyone interested in participating in Pedalanças 2023, can fill in the registration form which will be available on the site, or write to us through the email pedalancas@cicloficina.pt.

ALQUEVA, THE INLAND SEA. GET TO KNOW THE BEACHES AROUND ANDANÇAS!

Campinho, the home of Andanças, integrates the nature of the place – the beautiful Alentejo plain of cork oaks and holm oaks – with a 3 km path connecting it to the calm and idyllic waters of Alqueva. The waters of Alqueva extend into a huge mirror in the middle of the Alentejo plain, with countless islands and pieces of land drawing a unique landscape that seems almost staged. The largest artificial lake in Europe, also known as the “Sea of the Interior”, originates in the Guadiana River and floods an area once dry and thirsty of water, just as the name indicates: Alqueva derives from the word “alqueive”, “fallow land” or “desert”.
The dam reaches five Alentejo municipalities – Portel, Moura, Reguengos de Monsaraz, Mourão, and Alandroal – and the Spanish border towns of Olivença, Cheles, Alconchel, and Villanueva del Fresno, bathing several towns and villages that are touched by the beauty and breeze of Alqueva.
The Parque de Merendas do Campinho, next to the water, has an anchorage where aeronautical and nautical activities take place, but it is not a place for swimming! If you want to take a refreshing dip, you can visit the various fluvial beaches of Alqueva and that are located a few kilometers from Campinho.
The fluvial beach of Amieira is the closest to Campinho, about 13 km away. The fluvial beach of Monsaraz is about 30km away, and right after that there is the fluvial beach of Mourão, which is about 34km away. In the hot hours, you can go swimming and enjoy the landscape and nature of this very special region.
For more information about Alqueva visit the site www.roteirodoalqueva.com
