In 2019,  Andanças is back to the Póvoa e Meadas Dam, municipality of Castelo de Vide.
 
This dam, the first hydroelectric dam in Portugal, is located in the center of Portugal, near the border with Spain, in the northeast Alentejo, Portalegre, in an area delimited by the counties of Marvão to the southeast, Portalegre to the south, Crato to the southwest, Nisa to the north and Spanish Extremadura to the northeast. It integrates the village of Castelo de Vide, county seat, and the village of Póvoa e Meadas.

At Andanças, participants’ mobility has a huge environmental impact. We encourage you to prepare your trip in advance and consider the different transport options, favoring the least polluting ones.

There are trains to Vila Velha de Ródão. We are finalizing details of the partnership for 2019 with CP and Câmara de Castelo de Vide to guarantee discounted travel and transfers from this locality to the Póvoa e Meadas Dam. More details coming soon.


Rede Expressos has buses to Castelo de Vide and Nisa. We are finalizing details of the partnership for 2019 to guarantee travel with discounts and transfers from this locality to the Póvoa e Meadas Dam. More details coming soon.

The bicycle is an ideal means of transport to get to Andanças, not only allows you to feel the landscapes pedaled more intensely, as it is an inexpensive and ecological way to travel, allowing the Andanças experience to start sooner!

 

We are also finalizing details to have the Pedalanças again in this edition.

 

Prefer to travel by car? Do you have room for more people? Choose to get to Andanças in a more sustainable, economic and convivial way by giving or asking for a ride. Try to share the trip with friends and family using sites like Boleia.net to find or offer a ride to the Festival!
