If volunteering is a work solely performed for the use and good of the independence of the service provider, without any remuneration or material gain, volunteering at Andanças has a dimension we cannot grasp. It makes us think about this social phenomenon and the collective efforts for a common goal.

Every year we have about 1500 candidates applying to volunteer at Andanças. Of them, 750 are selected to form a team which sets up the whole festival and runs it during 7 days. And all this in a unique environment.

In the canteen, handing out the food or washing the dishes, at the parking area, the camping site or even at the stages during day and night: The spirit of joy and cooperation of our volunteers is contagious. Even collecting the waste is done with a smile. Is there any problem? It will be solved!
